Website About Fundraising
And how you could create a website of your own and work from home too....
This page is really a continuation of my About Me page. So much of my life is wrapped up in my website now that the 2 are pretty intertwined.
My website has been really interesting to create and is now earning me a great income. I could not have done it however without the help of a great website building company called Site Build It - SBI.

- Sell a Product There are all sorts of things you can sell on a website from small items such as jewelery to quite large machinery and equipment.
- Become an Affiliate Affiliates earn money by directing visitors from their site to specific commercial websites and earn commission on any purchases those visitors make.For instance if you have a site about gardening you might have an affiliate link to a company that sell lawnmowers or garden plants. As visitors go to that site from yours they are tagged as your customers. If someone then makes a purchase you will receive a percentage of the retail price.The advantage for these companies is that you are doing the hard work by attracting people to your great gardening website. The visitors you send them will be far more inclined to buy gardening products.There are all sorts of affiliate schemes covering pretty much every type of website you can imagine.
- Google Adsense
This is the main way my site makes me money - I'm sure you will have noticed
the small blocks of adverts on the pages of many websites including this
one. The ads are targeted at whatever the theme for the website is. So,
for instance, my site carries ads for fundraising companies, but a
cookery site would have ones for pots, pans and recipe books.
Whichever country someone views your site from Google ads from that country will appear.The website owner gets paid a fee every time someone clicks on an ad, regardless of whether they buy anything or not!.
Google Ads are really easy to set up on your site, matching the ads to your theme is automatically done by Google and they earn you money 24 hrs a day every day of the week. Google Ads mean that you can still make revenue from a site that doesn't actually sell anything. You can build a website about anything you are interested in, put Google ads on it and make money. Look on it like the adverts in a hobby magazine. The advantage of a website is that unlike a magazine it doesn't get put in the recycling bin after a month. It actually keeps on making you money year after year. Things I wrote for my website when I first started, still make me money today. Every morning I click on my Adsense account and it shows me exactly how many clicks my site took and how much I earned in the last 24hrs. What a lovely way to start the day!
It sounds like a lot of work...... how will I know what to do?
