Fundraising Movie Night

Our marching band holds a dance every year for just band students. However, to put on the dance, the students have to raise all the money ourselves so we needed a cheap and easy fundraiser.

What we did was take a large projector screen and a portable projector and set it up in the gym since popcorn and drinks were not permitted in the auditorium.

To avoid copyright issues, we did not charge to see the movie but asked for donations and sold popcorn and pop at the concession stand using a fellow student's popcorn machine.

The fundraiser was a success and we ended up raising $500.
