I am a Grade 8 student I know for a fact that there were many people my age in Haiti that died because of the recent disaster. We wanted to raise money for victims of the earthquake.
My idea is that you pick one day (for our school it will be Friday, January 29th), and during THE WHOLE DAY, you must be silent. No speaking, no sign-language, no notes. Just silence. And you do it for all of those that were silenced (killed) in the disaster. For every person that participates, they must bring in a minimum of $1 which will be donated to the Red Cross.
They could also be sponsored to be quiet by family and friends which should bring in extra money.
