School Band Fundraiser

This is an idea for a tribute / donation wall with a difference. Our band is trying to raise money for various items, but there are so many groups selling items, that we are having a difficult time.

I came up with the following idea: On a wall in the band room, we created a large music staff. Band members sell music notes. A whole note for $20, half note $10, etc. Our goal is to sell enough notes to make the school fight song (A cheer song sung at sports matches).

At the end of the year the kids will play whatever they have sold. This is motivation for the kids to sell so that they will be able to play the entire song. The notes are made in school colors and the buyers write their names on them so when hanging on the wall, we know who made it possible.
