Charity Car Wash

Our Charity Car Wash was a real winner
We were so proud of the kids in our junior church. They came up with the wonderful title St Swithin's Soapy Spongers for their carwashing day. The event took place on a Sunday in the church car park.


What a lot of people did was leave their cars there after the 10am service and collected them later.


The car-washing was really good and even the younger kids were helping out, being looked after by the older ones. The whole thing was supervised by Pauli our Junior Church leader. In all they washed about 25 cars and raised a nice bit of cash which was split between their Junior Church Youth Club and another charity project they have been supporting. The next week they got a special mention at the service and we all gave them a round of applause.
